Signal

Before interpretation

Summary
Signal is the discipline of staying with the material before asking it to mean something. In AI-assisted work, the first request often turns raw material into summary, and summary can make weak but important details disappear. Signal protects the moment before interpretation: the repetitions, absences, contradictions, phrases, and details that have not yet become insight but may be carrying the real direction of the work.
Risk
Summary before attention.
Practice
Look before interpreting.
Output
Signal extraction.
Applied bite
Read the material without turning it into a conclusion too early. Separate facts, repetitions, absences, contradictions and details that do not fit. Do not generate insights or recommendations yet. Look first.
